Can a prompt replace FamilyWall Premium?

Build the household coordination half of a family organiser, and deliberately leave location to the phone platform.

Calendar: run CalDAV as described in the Cozi entry, so events land in everyone's existing calendar app.

Lists: a shared web app with a shopping list, a to-do list per person, and a household notes page. Offline-first with a service worker, merged with per-field timestamps as in the AnyList entry.

The piece worth building carefully is the household dashboard: one page, readable on a wall-mounted tablet or a phone, showing today's calendar, whose turn it is for the recurring chores, the shopping list and any pinned note. Auto-refreshing, no login on the trusted device, large type. This is what makes a family tool used rather than installed, and it is one page.

Add a recurring responsibility rota: a chore, a list of people, a cadence, and a rule that rotates. Print who is up next and log completions, so "it is not my turn" has an answer.

For location, do not build anything. Both major phone platforms have family location sharing built in, free, with better battery behaviour and better permission handling than any third-party implementation. Write the setup instructions into your family page and be explicit that this is the right call rather than a gap you failed to close.

Do not build a messaging feature. The family already has one and will not move to yours.
